Boxercise & Kickboxing
are exercise forms that are developed through an amalgamation of boxing,
martial arts and aerobics. They usually utilize a variety of kicks, punches, knee
strikes and other self defense moves to develop one's cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone, muscular endurance
and flexibility.
Participants are also free to choose
between Contact Forms Or Non-Contact Forms of
Boxercise/Kickboxing as well.
Contact Boxercise/Kickboxing
involves the kicking and punching of punch bags, kick shields and focus
mitts. Some classes also involve partner-to-partner sparring or fighting.
On the other hand, Non-Contact
Boxercise/Kickboxing involves drills performed entirely in the air,
without contacting or striking anything or anyone.
